Hello! We’re Natalie and Shane Goodall- Iowa natives & full time working parents, with two active kiddos that constantly keep us on our toes. Like most, nothing could have prepared us for raising tiny humans. The unpredictability, the exhaustion, and the massive hold they have on our hearts- its the best, most indescribable experience of our lives to date!
As an interior designer, I (Natalie) have a passion for designing spaces that I could see my family interacting with. Over the last 4 years, that has been spaces built for families with little ones. From churches to grocery stores, I have helped my clients work through concepts that appeal to young families all while feeling like the spaces my family would go to weren’t built for us. Between restaurants with lidless cups, play places that caused constant stress, and trying to use a public restroom while wrangling my mobile toddler- a burning passion to create something better for our community started brewing. Late nights nursing our daughter turned into business research sessions and in April of 2023, Playgrounds Cafe was officially (legally) born!
We hope when you enter our space, you know that you and your children are safe and supported in whatever stage of life you might be in. This place has been designed especially for you and we hope it can serve you in whatever way you need, when you need it.
